The purpose of the inter-channel damper product is to control the amount of air passing through the duct or air duct of the damper.
With this product, we can adjust or cut off the flow of air inside the duct or behind the air vents.
Duct dampers or inter-channel dampers consist of one or more blades inside their structure.
These blades are rotated and moved by special levers connected with two types of hand knobs and an electric motor, which move the damper to control and adjust the amount of air passage.
Types of dampers:
Fire damper (Fire Damper)
This damper is used in case of fire to block the duct path (channel).
This type of damper operates automatically by special fuses in case of fire and blocks the air inlet and outlet and prevents the spread of fire in the duct.
Parallel model damper
This damper is used only to block or open the air flow and has two types of adjusting knobs: manual knob and electric knob.
Damper behind the round valve
This damper is for installation behind the round valves and for adjusting the outlet air of the channel from the round valve.
This type of damper is produced in two types of impeller and half plate.
Damper 7 and 8
This type of damper is produced in two forms of single-wall and double-wall blades with manual and motor handles, which can also be used for installation on air conditioners in two parallel and reciprocal designs.
This damper is used in commercial and residential buildings of hospital and refinery.
Shutter valve (air damper )
This type of damper operates one-way and is located behind the suction fan.
Its function is that when the ventilator is on, its blades act automatically with the ventilator pressure, opening the air outlet path, and because the damper blades are connected with the help of a lever, as soon as the ventilator is turned off and the suction air pressure drops. These blades also lock the damper at the same time so that air does not enter the duct from the outside.
My point in making this type of damper is that because the blades are activated by the ventilator air pressure; The material of the blades should be made of aluminum sheet with a thickness of 0.5 or 1 mm so that the weight of the blades does not negatively affect the use of the damper.
Another partition of the damper is the type of opening and closing of the blades. (Parallel blade model or cross blade model) which are called parallel dampers or cross dampers for short.
The parallel blade model is used to cut off and connect the current and the flow rate adjustment in this type of damper is low and the flow change diagram is a curve in terms of the damper opening angle.
The cross blade model is used to adjust the flow rate; Because the flow chart is almost linear in terms of damper opening.
In round damper models, if there is only one blade, it is called a disc blade model and in some cases, a butterfly damper.
Another model divides the dampers into three categories: manual dampers, balance dampers or gravity dampers and motor dampers, which are determined by selecting inter-channel dampers in different systems, according to the needs of that system.
Manual dampers
These models of dampers are adjusted manually by the operator by the damper handle which is located next to the body or depending on the model on the flange.
These dampers can be produced in round, rectangular, and in parallel or cross blade models.
Balance dampers
These models of dampers open by weight or gravity and with the force of the wind behind it, and when the air flow behind it is cut off, the damper path closes.
The blades of this model of dampers are usually made of aluminum to be lighter and easier to open with the air pressure behind it.
Of course, in industrial projects, its material can also be galvanized or steel.
Motor dampers
The function of this model of dampers is like manual dampers. The difference is that in this model, the dampers are opened and closed by the motor.
The motor of these dampers can be of on / off types with return spring, with gradual output for precise control of damper opening or of fire damper type (fire damper) with heat sensor.
