ISO 21542, Building Construction – The accessibility and usability of the built environment specifies a wide range of requirements and recommendations for the design, construction and accessibility of buildings. These include access to buildings, walking inside the building, leaving the building under normal circumstances, and evacuating in the event of a fire.
Recently, this revised version provides an improved document structure for easier use as well as additional information on aspects such as acoustic environment and emergency evacuation.
