Organizations that provide equal opportunities and value the individual characteristics of their employees will have better business ahead. Better performance, increased innovation, and greater employee engagement are just some of the benefits that pervasive organizational culture can bring; But reaching this position is not always a straight path and is associated with highs and lows. A new standard has been published to help you.
ISO 30415, Human Resource Management – Diversity and Partnership provides the principles for organizations that want to create an inclusive workplace and invest in opportunities. This standard covers the actions, principles, criteria and tasks associated with them and considers the unique context of each workplace.
Jim Lewis , chairman of the technical committee that developed the standard, said creating an inclusive organizational culture requires more than that.
“Fair access to jobs and career paths, as well as the opportunity for each employee to be heard and respected, includes the inclusion of principles in the organization’s policies and practices,” he said.
ISO 30415 helps organizations do this throughout their life and work cycle, as well as in their supply chain and relationships with individuals. The continuous improvement approach is used to achieve diverse goals and partnerships as well as to support external accreditation processes.
Using this standard will help corporate executives demonstrate their commitment to employee diversity and employee engagement, as well as identify new opportunities to create an inclusive culture.
