Pressurized air switch
Pressure switches are often used as part of an alarm system to protect continuous operation. This is common in various industries and we have encountered many cases in industrial and medical applications.
This type of pressure measurement in devices can be very important. The function of the pressure switch is to sound an alarm when the system is outside its safe parameters, either at a very low pressure or at a very high pressure.
Types of pressure air switches
- Pressure switch
- DP switch (or pressure difference switch)
Pressure switch
It uses static pressure when pressure switches are used in systems, this is the most common type of pressure switch.
The pressure switches have only one port and the system pressure is directed through the diaphragm. Changes in system pressure cause the diaphragm to deform, which causes the pressure switch to operate accordingly.
DP switch (or pressure difference switch)
A pressure difference switch is an electromechanical device used to detect a pressure difference between two points.
When connected to two pressure sources, the pressure difference switch can be used as an alarm to create or break a circuit by increasing the pressure or beyond a predetermined value. The inner diaphragm inside the pressure difference switch is pressed to make contact. The setting point can be factory preset or adjustable in the field.
Some common applications for pressure switches :
- Air stabilization
- Fans
- Ventilation duct
- Health / air filter status
- Exhaust ducts
- Cleaning and purification
- Airflow block / Chimney flow
- Chimney gas
- Air blower fan / heater
for example
Pressure difference switches are used to save energy or prevent maintenance. Monitor air filters for blockages. When the filter is closed or blocked, the pressure on the upper side increases and once at the activation point, the mode pressure switch changes.
