Target flowmeter
When the fluid is in the form of slurry or gas carrying solid particles, the accumulation of material in front of the perforated plates causes an error in its measurement and clogging. In this case, target flow meters are used to overcome this problem. In the structure of this equipment, circular openings are used. This type of design is no longer widely used in industry.
In this type of flowmeter, the applied force is detected by the fluid flow with the help of traction gauge circuits.
This equipment comes in two forms:
1- Standard shape with the ability to be installed in line for small lines
2- Retractable probes used for larger pipes and it is possible to open the probe to clean it without causing problems in the line.
Purpose flow meter is used to measure the flow rate of liquids, gases and vapors. This equipment allows condensate and solid foreign materials in gases and vapors to pass through the bottom of the pipe and gases and vapors in the liquid to pass through the top of the pipe.
The dynamic force of the fluid discharge is manifested as the tensile force by the target disk suspended in the fluid. This shaft is transmitted to the external range by a lever shaft and a bending duct, including four active arms of the tensile gauge bridge. These tensile circuits convert the detected mechanical pressure into a proportional electrical output. This conversion is linear. The extracted force is proportional to the quadratic of the flow rate.
theory
The instantaneous output of the traction gauge bridge is directly and linearly proportional to the F-force applied by the fluid flow to the target disk.
E rl = KF ÷ 2.2046
The force due to the turbulent fluid flow rate is proportional to the square of the velocity.
F = C d A P V 2 ÷ 2g
where in:
C d = coefficient of tension
A = cross section of the target disk
P = fluid density
V = fluid velocity passing through the flowmeter hole
This equation applies where the flow fluid is present in all the suffering of Dubai in a chaotic manner.
Advantages
- Can be used in two-way discharges
- Can be used in very small sizes
- Maximum to minimum ratio of Dubai 15: 1
Disadvantages
- Nesita high pressure drop
- Low measurable range
- Lack of on-site calibration
- Possibility of clogging and damage by large external pieces
