What is Orifice Plate?
Orifis flanges are used in combination with air meters to measure the flow rate of oil, gas and other liquids transported by the pipeline. Transparent flanges are produced in ASME B16.36 in different sizes and quantities of materials. An orifice flange is used to measure the flow of fluid transferred by the pipe through the flow nozzle located in the flange itself. The pressure-coupling pair is machined on the diaphragm flange, and the detachment tube wall becomes unnecessary. The Orifice flange is a disc-shaped flange, made with either a raised face or a ring-type ring.
The traditional narrow flange assembly consists of a pair of flanges, aperture plate, bolts, nuts, washers, jack bolts and plugs. Jack screws ensure easy removal of the mains element. Transparent flanges in all forged grades of ASTM (ASTM A105, ASTM A350, ASTM A694, ASTM 182 for carbon, alloy and stainless steel flanges, respectively), dimensions (combination of nominal size and pressure rating) and welding Socket, thread or neck shape (WN is most used).
